Meggan Forbes, MSN, FNP-BC

 

Meggan is an ANCC certified Family Nurse Practitioner who received her BS, with Honors, in Nursing from Northern Illinois University and MS, with Distinction, from DePaul University. With over 20 years of hospital medicine experience, Meggan provides comprehensive care for general medicine, oncology, cardiology and transplant patients at University of Chicago Medical Center utilizing a comprehensive, patient centered approach rooted in evidence-based practice to improve outcomes.

 

While active in professional advocacy through local and national committee engagement and peer-reviewed publications, Meggan has leveraged her clinical expertise to shape quality initiatives on patient handoff, resident and advanced practice provider onboarding to enhance patient safety and clinical efficiency. She also mentors medical students in clinical vignette writing.

 

Meggan is excited to translate her acute care expertise into primary care by partnering with her patients on disease prevention, chronic disease management through shared decision-making to promote wellness and reduce hospitalizations.
